We've used PDQ Electric a number of times, and we have always been happy with their work. Chad is able to figure out what's going on very quickly, and is great at explaining what happened and what is needed to get it fixed. They are our go to electrical repair company.

Had PDQ out to my house to resolve three switches that were no longer working, and trouble shoot a 4-way switch that was not operating correctly. Steven was on time, polite and professional. Had all three switches replaced and working in under two hours and figured out the 4-way switch issue and fixed it. All of this for around $350! We're very happy with PDQ Electric!

Jesse did a great job installing my Tesla wall connector. He arrived on time and did the job the way that I requested. Everyone I dealt with at pdq was great, from Amanda in the front office to Chad who bid the job for me. Would definitely use their services again.

I had a great experience with PDQ Electric and highly recommend them! Chad and Jeremy were absolute pros from start to finish. They tackled a couple of jobs around my home with fantastic results. First, they installed a brand-new ceiling fan in a room where there was no existing fixture or power source, seamlessly running a cable from a nearby light fixture. Second, they safely fixed and replaced a burnt light switch that had been giving me trouble. Beyond their technical skill, their team was top-notch to work with: - Great Communication: They kept me informed every step of the way, so there were no surprises. - Clean & Professional: They left the work areas spotless when they finished. - Friendly Service: Everyone I interacted with was kind, polite, and truly professional. If you need fast, reliable, and high-quality electrical work, PDQ Electric is the way to go. I will definitely be calling them again for future projects!

Choose Your Charging Setup

What Do You Want Installed?

PDQ installs the permanent charger, outlet charging, dedicated circuit, and required electrical components, then tests the completed installation.

Tesla Wall Connector

Tesla Wall Connector and Universal Wall Connector Installation by a Tesla Certified Installer

Hardwired Level 2 Chargers

Installation for compatible Chargepoint, Emporia, Wallbox, Autel, Ford, Rivian and other listed charging equipment.

NEMA 14-50 & 240V Outlets

A properly sized circuit, wiring, breaker and receptacle for compatible plug-in EV charging equipment.

Electrical Capacity Evaluation

We check available breaker space and service ampacity before recommending the charging circuit.

Installation Cost

How Much Does EV Charger Installation Cost?

The installation price depends primarily on the electrical route and circuit requirements; not simply the charger itself.

Many straightforward residential installations can be estimated from photos at no charge.  Send the panel, proposed charger location and the path between them to 702-600-1749.

Panel-to-charger distance

Longer routes require more conductor, conduit and labor.

Wiring route

Attic access, surface conduit, drywall and exterior construction affect the work.

Charging amperage

Longer routes require more conductor, conduit and labor. Higher charging output may require a larger circuit and affect wiring and equipment costs.

Indoor or outdoor location

Exterior installations require properly rated equipment and weather protection.

Electrical capacity

The selected output determines circuit, breaker and conductor requirements.

Permit and inspection

Requirements vary by jurisdiction and the exact installation scope.

Detached garage or trenching

Separate structures and underground routes require additional planning.

Charger mounting location

Parking position, cable reach and future vehicle placement should be considered.

Compare the Connection

Hardwired Charger or NEMA 14-50 Outlet?

The better choice depends on the charger, desired output and how you expect to use the charging location.

Consideration Hardwired Level 2 Charger NEMA 14-50 Outlet
Connection
Charging equipment connects directly to the dedicated circuit.
A compatible portable or plug-in charger connects to the receptacle.
Typical use
Common for Tesla Wall Connectors and permanently mounted chargers.
Useful when compatible plug-in equipment or portability is preferred.
Charging output
May support higher output when the charger and electrical capacity allow.
Limited by the receptacle circuit and the connected charger.
Connection points
Eliminates the plug-and-receptacle connection.
Requires a quality, compatible receptacle and plug connection.

PDQ can help confirm which arrangement fits your vehicles, charging equipment, parking location and desired charging speed.

Panel Capacity

Does an EV Charger Require a Panel Upgrade?

No. Installing an EV charger does not automatically require a panel replacement.

A panel or service upgrade may be considered when the existing electrical system lacks sufficient ampacity, usable breaker space or appropriate equipment for the proposed charging load.

Adjustable charging output

A charger may be configured for a lower circuit rating when appropriate

Load-management equipment

Energy-management options may help accommodate charging within existing capacity. These devices will turn off ev unit when its certain time or your panel load reaches certain capacity. Ask us!

Available compatible circuit

An existing circuit may sometimes be evaluated for compatible charging equipment.

Sub panel or other distribution work

Additional breaker space may have alternatives to replacing the entire service.

Customer-Purchased equipment welcome

Already Bought Your EV Charger?

You may purchase your own charger and have PDQ install it.  Before the appointment, send us the manufacturer, model number, electrical specifications and installation instructions so we can confirm compatibility and circuit requirements.
